You can now create, configure, train, clone, and delete Chatbase agents entirely through the API.

Whether you're creating agents for customers, managing them at scale, or building Chatbase into your own workflows, you no longer need to rely on the dashboard.

What's new

• Create agents automatically. Create new agents through the API, add your own sources, or let Chatbase crawl a website URL and train the agent automatically.
• Read agent details. List all your agents or retrieve the complete configuration for a specific agent.
• Update agent settings. Modify only the settings you need, including AI model, instructions, temperature, widget messages, domains, rate limits, email notifications, and voice configuration.
• Customize your agent's appearance. Configure your agent's appearance, including theme, colors, copy, and which controls are visible.
• Train on demand. Trigger a new training run and track its progress programmatically.
• Control auto-retraining. Enable or disable the automatic 7-day retraining cycle through the API.
• Clone agents. Create a complete copy of an existing agent, including all of its sources.
• Delete agents. Remove an agent along with its sources and connected integrations.
