Introducing Know Your Agent on Chatbase

Get early access to Know Your Agent

We’re building KYA with Persona now. Leave your work email and we’ll reach out when it’s ready for your brand.

Every consumer is about to have a personal agent.

These agents will multiply the number of conversations between people and the businesses they buy from. They'll check on orders, change bookings and ask about plans, all on their human's behalf.

And it isn't spam. These are real requests from real customers. We just removed the friction, so there's a lot more of it.

Today we're announcing our partnership with Persona to build KYA, Know Your Agent, for every agent on Chatbase.

Your business needs its own agent

So how does a business handle all of that, and take advantage of it?

You need an agent that represents your business.

The personal agent represents the customer's interests. Your agent should represent yours. It follows your brand, your policies and your guardrails, while getting the customer what they came for.

That's what we build at Chatbase. And like most deals in the economy, the two agents should land on a win-win.

The problem to solve

Most of what a personal agent asks for needs an account. Where's my order. Move my appointment. Update my address.

A person on your website just logs in. An agent shouldn't be handed its human's password, and you shouldn't want it to be.

So before your agent acts, it has to verify the personal agent and the customer behind it. Then it needs to know what that agent is allowed to do.

Without that, a business has two bad options. Block every agent and lose real customers, or trust every agent and take on the risk.

How it works

KYA runs every time a personal agent reaches a Chatbase agent.

Authenticate the agent. Persona authenticates the agent itself, so your business knows exactly which agent is calling.

Link it to a verified customer. Persona links that agent to a verified customer. The customer approves their agent, and from then on, every request it makes is tied to their account.

Apply your permissions. Your business sets custom permissions for exactly what each agent can do. Each customer can restrict their own agent even further. For example, an agent can check order status but never change payment details.

This allows personal agents to authenticate and interact safely and more predictably with your business. Your agent knows which agent it's talking to, which customer that agent acts for, and what it's allowed to do.

What comes next

We're building KYA with Persona now.

This reduced friction will create a huge number of business and customer interactions. The businesses whose agents are ready for personal agents will win those customers.

You need to be early to benefit. This will be your competitive advantage.
